The bikes weigh between 10.3 and 13.1KG depending on the size and spec. A small singlespeed weighs 10.3KG, and a large automatix bike weights 13.1KG. These bikes are made to feel lightweight enough to carry up stairs, but strong enough to withstand urban riding.
We get this question a lot and we always give the same answer – you can ride 95% of all the roads you ever need to ride on one gear. Steep hills (i.e. a gradient of 20%+) may be tough and long stretches at high speed may also be difficult. Everything else is more than manageable.
There certainly is! If you are interested in finding out more about our finance options then please get in touch at and we can sort out a quote!

The bikes come what is known as ‘85% assembled’. This means the only things you have to assemble are: front wheel, handlebars and saddle. It is quite straightforward to anyone who knows a little about bikes and the tools required and instructions are included in the box. We have also made this video to help you assemble. If you are uncomfortable doing this yourself, or if you want peace of mind then take this down to any local cycling shop and they will assemble it for a small fee.

There is a lot of confusion on this subject and people interchange them as though they are the same thing – they are quite similar but in many ways very different. A single-speed bike is a simple bike with a single gear but you can freewheel (i.e. you continue to move on your bike keeping your feet stationary on the pedals). On a fixie you cannot free wheel (i.e. when the bike is moving the pedals are too – and vice versa). To ride fixed wheel is a harder skill to manage and takes some getting used to, however we certainly recommend giving it a go. All our bikes come with what is known as a flip-flop hub which means our bikes are both – on the back wheel is both a fixie chainring and a single-speed chainring, which can be taken out, spun around and switched between the two.

We use PayPal as our online payments processor which you do not need an account with in order to pay – it’s like any other online payment service. You can use any major credit or debit card and we will handle everything. If you prefer, you can pay by bank transfer directly into our account quoting your order number as a reference – once we have cleared the funds we will send your item.

Once you have made a payment you will receive an email with your order number and all necessary information. Then once your item has been dispatched you will receive another email with your tracking number, a link to the tracking page and expected delivery time and date. Your item will then arrive with all the necessary information required for a smooth start with your new Fixation bike.
You can ride on the vast majority of surfaces in both good and bad weather. The only places we recommend avoiding is total off-road. Gravel tracks and similar are perfectly okay.
